Oklahoma Trip - Day 8 HOME

Jake Rasmussen | December 31, 2007 | 6:49 pm

This trip was wonderful.  It was a great time away from the hustle and and bustle of life in Tucson.  Although it is good to spend the night in your own bed and also to have Riley in his room, not just feet away from you.

As we drove back I was able to read:

The Next Generation Leader, by Andy Stanley

This is a great read.  It is not about the “postmodern” or “forward thinking” area of church.  In my eyes it was a solid book on biblical leadership.  It was insight into how he has done it with practical things which could be applied in any leadership arena.  It is a book that could be handed to those who work in or out of the church and I believe they would benefit from it.  It is written by a man who is leading an up and coming generation (30 year olds).  He has wonderful insight into leadership in this next generation.

In Sumary:

This was a wonderful time.  It was a time to spend with my family also with Jenn’s family.  I would have to say that I am the luckiest man alive to have such an awesome wife, kids, in-laws and brother-in-law and sister-in-law.  It was wonderful to spend time with them daily.  Just interacting with them though out the day.

Thank you Jesus!
